Drilling mud pump structure working principle

Mud pump is in the drilling process, to the drilling mud or water and other washing liquid machinery. Mud pump is an important part of drilling machinery equipment. Its main role is in the drilling process with the mud drilling into the well, playing a cooling bit, cleaning drilling tools, fixing the well wall, driving drilling, and drilling cuttings back to the ground. The two main parameters of mud pump performance are displacement and pressure. The displacement is calculated by discharging a number of liters per minute, which is related to the diameter of the hole and the speed of flushing liquid required from the bottom of the hole, that is, the larger the aperture, the larger the required displacement. It is required that the up-return speed of the washing fluid can wash the cuttings and rock powder cut by the drill bit out of the bottom of the hole in time and carry them to the surface reliably. When geological core drilling, the general return speed is about 0.4~1 m/min. The pressure of the pump depends on the depth of the drilling hole, the resistance of the channel through which the flushing fluid passes and the properties of the flushing fluid. The deeper the hole is drilled, the greater the resistance of the line and the higher the pressure required. As the diameter and depth of the hole change,The displacement of the pump can also be adjusted at any time. In the pump mechanism is provided with a gearbox or a hydraulic motor to adjust its speed, in order to achieve the purpose of changing the displacement.
