Development of DTH hammer

DTH hammers are divided into valve-type air distribution impactors and valveless air distribution impactors according to the type of air distribution device.According to the number of pistons, it is divided into single-piston hammers and multi-piston hammers.According to the level of wind pressure used, it is divided into high wind pressure hammers, medium wind pressure hammers and low wind pressure hammers. But no matter what the points are, they all revolve around one purpose, that is, to achieve maximum drilling efficiency with minimal energy consumption. Our country’s engineering and technical personnel have carried out a lot of research work for this purpose and have achieved a lot of results. As a result, a large number of dth hammers with different specifications, different uses, and different characteristics have been produced.

1. Through-type reverse circulation hammer: it is equipped with double-wall drill pipe for reverse circulation continuous coring drilling, and is used in mineral exploration, engineering geological survey and other fields. It effectively solves the problems of difficult drilling, difficult coring, difficult wall protection, high cost and long cycle of complex formations of sand, gravel and gravel. This drilling method is used for hydrological and water well drilling, and can fundamentally solve the problems of slag discharge, coring, orifice pollution, and rock slag clogging aquifers, affecting water volume.

2. Drilling into the hammer with the pipe: while the hammer is drilling into the impact, the wall protection pipe will follow up at the same time.It solves the drilling problems in soft formations, soil-sandwiched rock formations or other complex and easy-to-collapse formations.Pipe drilling hammers are divided into two different forms: cardiocentric reaming and pipe drilling and eccentric reaming and pipe drilling.According to the level of wind pressure, it is divided into two different forms: high wind pressure and pipe drilling and low wind pressure and pipe drilling.

3. Combined impactor.  The combined hammer is composed of several hammers bundled and combined, and the maximum drilling diameter can reach 1524mm.

4. Return to the hammer.  In the anchoring industry, the anchoring tube must be pulled out in most cases. The return hammers uses the hammer force of the hammer to vibrate the anchoring tube, and the tube is pulled out while vibrating. This device is also called a vibrating extubator. It saves three-quarters of the labor than static extubation, which greatly reduces the cost of extubation.

The development of anything has a process of gradual evolution, but there are also mutations. For example, the first-generation hammer is a welded structure, and the second-generation hammer is changed to an assembled structure. The second generation is a valveless structure hammer, and the third generation is changed to a valveless structure hammer. But at the same time, there is inheritance between the various generations of hammers. For example, the drill heads equipped with the fourth-generation hammer are interchangeable with the drill heads equipped with the third-generation hammer. It’s just that the drill head of the fourth-generation hammer removes the drill tail pipe of the drill head of the third-generation hammer.
